For those of you who have ever wanted a simple but gorgeous log cabin, the Adirondack Lean-To Company has some terrific looking log cabin kits for sale.
When Jordon and I first talked about finding some land and building a small cabin, this is what we had in mind. We were watching a show where the couple live in one of these by a gorgeous lake and their two teenage sons had a similar but smaller one around a bend... within earshot but out of sight. This allowed them to hang out, sleep, and have their own space but be together as a family for meal time. It was a kind of a cool arrangement and perfect for a family of introverts.
Of course Mark is an extrovert who wants to share everything but we have a similar set up in that Mark loves to sleep in his tent at the cabin.

That is a great log cabin! Simple and cost effective. I think this has replaced the pop-up camper on my "to get" list.
