In 2008 we decided to purchase a small rustic cabin at Arlington Beach on Last Mountain Lake in the middle of Saskatchewan.
We decided to put together a weblog for a couple of reasons; We wanted a place to record the changes to the cabin, document our life at the lake and answer questions for our friends have been asking about the cabin and what to expect when they get there.
Finally it is a place to post some cabinology, design, sustainable living, small house living, and architecture links that we discover along the way.

Thanks for reposting about my floating garden. I pulled a row of lettuce and have replaced it with the last of my onion sets. It has been so warm that everything is really growing (and bolting) fast. I think I'll try some Swiss Chard in a new bare spot. My friend Margaret over at Thistle Garden says hers really does well in our climate. Again, thanks for sharing my garden with your readers. - Margy
