For the last year we have had a smallish 3/4 bed in the cabin for Jordon and I sleep on.
It’s okay for one person, crowded for both of us, and unbearable when Maggi decides she needs to crawl into bed with us. We finally found a used double bed in perfect condition and decided to get it. We looked at a couple of queen sized beds but the master bedroom is so small that in the end, smaller is better if we want to move at all while we are in there. We will toss on a foam mattress topper, some nice sheets and we will be set.
The frame we have been using is nicer than then we will use for Oliver so we will move it out in the main area, paint the head and foot board and then get rid of the old frame.
While it will be a bigger bed and hopefully better sleep for myself, it is Jordon who will benefit from our new bed the most. With him being 6’4”, a 3/4 bed is too short and the footboard drives him crazy. The lack of the headboard and footboard will hopefully help him sleep better and sprawl out.
It’s still going to be crowded with Maggi, Jordon, and myself on the bed on a cool night but it will a little less crowded and that’s a big step forward.
