In 2008 I saw an article on the amazing Holyoke Cabin made from shipping containers in Minnesota and thought that I could do that (even if I couldn't have)
After looking at lots that started at $100,000 up north, I emailed Arlington Beach Camp and purchased a small 300 square foot cabin on a large lot about 2 hours south east of Saskatoon. It needed some work, was uninsulated with no running water but it was affordable and ours.
This was how it looked the first time we saw it.
While the exterior hasn't changed a lot. the interior has. The 3/4 beds were upgraded some sleeping arrangements a lot more comfortable. It was repainted, some interior walls taken down and the kitchen redone. It's still pretty rustic but it does the job and is a great place for Mark and Oliver to chill out and explore when we are down there.
If you have any questions, email Jordon or Wendy as we would love to chat.
